This is to confirm an interest in the Virdung consorts I will be making in 2027. They will comprise of 6 recorders, Virdung’s coppel, of two basses in F, two tenor/altos in C and two discants in G, with an option for a third tenor/alto if required. I will be making them in cherry wood, which is somewhat lighter than the maple I normally use and I think the weight reduction and the special sound of the cherry will be welcomed.
